An alphabetical index by component part number is provided to assist in locating the desired circuit. The Index provides the chapter assignment in which each component appears.
REFERENCE DESIGNATOR INDEX
An alphabetical index by Reference Designator is provided to assist in locating the desired component. The Index provides the chapter assignment in which each Reference Designator appears.
3. HOW TO USE THE MANUAL ASSIGNMENT OF SUBJECT MATERIAL
WIRING DIAGRAMS
To facilitate locating components and tracing the circuitry of individual diagrams, each wire is identified by the wire code it bears in the airplane. A reference designator identifies the individual circuit components. Symbols used in the wiring diagrams appear in Figures 3 and 4 in this introduction.
Each Sub-System section within this manual will have a wiring diagram on the left page (page 0) and an Equipment List starting on the right page (page 1) containing information specific to that wiring diagram. Equipment Lists may or may not be more than one page.
EQUIPMENT LIST
A listing of the component parts accompanies each wiring diagram to aid maintenance personnel in ordering replacements. The components are listed in the order of alphanumeric sequence of the reference designators.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
This manual does not in all cases differentiate between optional and standard equipment. In order to facilitate the installation of certain wire harnesses used to connect optional equipment, these harnesses will be installed in all airplanes. Wires will be dead ended in airplanes that do not require the equipment.
WIRE CODES
The wire codes used in the BEECHCRAFT Bonanza closely follow the military numbering system. Each wire and cable are identified by a combination of numbers and letters imprinted on the wire and cable as illustrated in Figure 1. Each wire or cable is identified within 3 inches of each junction. No code is required for short wires or cables less than 3 inches inlength. A nonmetalic sleeve carrying identification will appearon wires where imprinted codes cannot be affixed.
Circuit function letters indicate a relationship to a particular system (noted in the list of circuit function designations). Wire numbers are provided to differentiate between wires in a circuit.
A wire segment is a conductor between two terminals or connections. Alphabetical sequency is usually followed. Wire segment A indicates the power source, B next segment, etc.
The wire size number is used to identify the size of the wire or cable.
A suffix to the wire identification code (N) identifies any wire or cable that completes the circuit to ground network
Phase letter "A", "B" or "C" used as a suffix identifies three-phase wiring in acsystems.
