Dampness – Dampness is essential for the growth of fibers, as well as the production and growth of
the caps. But if it is too damp inside the caps, fibers will be soaked and die. The wet small caps will
gather at the meeting point between fibers and caps, making it impossible to pass food to the
mushroom caps. They will then wither and eventually die. If it is too dry, mushrooms will shrivel up
and will not grow.
