The DCO organization provides shared infrastructure, software, and services for Thomson Reuters business units worldwide. An exciting and dynamic organization, DCO ensures the operational efficiency and effectiveness of critical business systems, establishes technology infrastructure standards, and provides systems support and enhancements for Thomson Reuter’s business systems.
The Senior Capacity Analyst will join the DCO Network Lifecycle Management team and have responsibility for ensuring that sufficient capacity exists within the DCO Network infrastructure to meet Business Unit demands. They will leverage the DCIS network capacity management toolset along with other data analysis tools to monitor current and historical capacity, identify run out rates and forecast future capacity demand, initiating remediation actions when required and providing input into the Lifecycle Management roadmap planning process. This role will also have responsibility for maintenance of operational data quality in the Service Management and Network Management toolsets, ensuring that accurate operational data records are maintained for all network devices.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
70% Capacity Management and 30% Data Quality
- Monitoring and Analysis of network capacity
- Business Unit stakeholder management
- Provision of weekly, monthly & quarterly Network Capacity Reports for Business Unit stakeholder and DCIS Management consumption
- Provision of quarterly capacity forecasts based on Business Unit demand forecasts
- Identification of future upgrade requirements based on capacity planning with input into the Network Lifecycle Roadmap planning process
- Collaboration with 2nd line Support and Engineering teams to identify short term remediation for critical capacity management issues
- Collaboration with the SSSE Capacity Management team to provide monthly port capacity forecasts based on Business Unit demand input
- Management of sufficient network inventory to support upcoming Business Unit demand and ensure "Quiet Running"
- Provision of continuous data quality analysis of DCIS network operational data to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the asset lifecycle
- Initiation and management of ad-hoc initiatives to improve data quality
- Provision of Operational Data Quality Metrics reporting

Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills required
- Strong administrative and organizational skills required, as is a focused attention to detail
- A proven willingness to learn, a positive service attitude, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand work environment
- 2-3 years experience working in a technical environment or with a technical organization required
- Strong business analysis skills; ability to analyze data sets, engage SMEs & develop technical solutions to complex business problems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills (preferably to advanced level)
- Component-level, end to end understanding of data center operations preferred (Network management, system management, virtualization, etc.) and its relation to business processes.
- Specific technical subject matter expertise is prefered but not essential
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes & the DCIS Service Management toolset (Service Manager, Asset Manager, Service Now)
- Microsoft SharePoint experience a plus
- Thai national or must be legally able to work in Thailand without the company having to obtain a work permit
