Woman sentenced for stealing thousands from Youngstown call center
A Youngstown woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars has been sentenced to probation.
Thirty-six-year-old Rosalind Hornbuckle was placed on probation when she was sentenced by a Mahoning County judge on Tuesday.
Hornbuckle pleaded guilty to eight counts of telecommunications fraud in September.
According to prosecutors, Hornbuckle devised a scheme where she would illegally transfer money from VXI Global Solutions to different cash advance centers.
Overall, authorities claim she took about $12,000 from the company.
Investigators say she attempted to take another $15,000, but was caught by the company's security.
According to court documents, Hornbuckle has been allowed to travel to Sharon, Pa. for new employment.
