Knowledge management
processes
Any process that supports one of the three
elements of KM can be seen as a KM process.
The focus of much work on KM has
concentrated upon the development of one or
more of these processes (expert systems,
product development programmes), while
being unclear as to the strategy element any
particular process is designed to support.
That is, while it may be intuitively clear as to
which processes may be employed an
organisation, it is far from clear as to how
strategic aims could be translated into
appropriate processes.
