In
some species, such as the herbaceous pea (Pisum sativum), Petunia,
cowpea and Silene, as well as woody species of the Populus and
Salix genera, GA1 is dominating in vegetative tissues, whereas GA4
is dominating, e.g. in Arabidopsis thaliana and conifers like Norway
spruce (Picea abies) (Olsen et al., 2004; Yamaguchi, 2008).
