Another program, the Culturally Relevant Urban Wellness (CRUW) program, which operates out of Vancouver Aboriginal Child & Family Services Society (VACFSS), focuses on supporting urban Indigenous youth by welcoming them into the Land and Food System’s (LFS) Indigenous Garden at the UBC Farm for cultural land-based activities. The CRUW program provides an invaluable space that gives marginalized and at-risk youth access to traditional land-based teachings and cultural practices, and connects them with Elders and knowledge holders.
