Weave pattern ‘The Moonlight Sonate’
Certainly, the musical score of the Beethoven’s one of the most popular
compositions is too big to be used for a whole weave pattern.
But just a small part of it, even some bars only, can be inspiration for
development of a new pattern. The notation for piano of the first two
bars of the sonate is shown in Figure 10. Only the very first bar (for
right and left hand) was used to derive the pattern, which is shown
in Figure 11 (highlighted) together with the fabric view, obtained
on the basis of three horizontal and six vertical repeats.
