CONCLUSION, DISCUSSION, AND RECOMMENDATIONS
This section is divided the content into two parts. The first part presents a brief of the
research finding. The second part discusses the finding conclusion.
5.1 Conclusion
The Oscars acceptance speeches were analysed in the research. Seven types of
figurative language were chosen for analysis. The figure of speech consist climax, hyperbole,
hypophora, irony, metaphor, oxymoron, and, simile.
According to the research, it can be seen that the most found type of figurative
language in the Oscars acceptance speeches is hyperbole.
