Sperm motility and count Total sperm number was determined by using a Neubauer hemocytometer
by a method of Kenjale et al. [9]. Cauda epididymis was dissected out, weighed, immediately minced in 5 ml of physiological
saline, and then incubated at 37°C for 30 min to allow sperms to leave the epididymal tubules. The percentage of motile sperm was recorded from left cauda epididymis using a phase contrast microscope at 400× magnification. The total number of sperm per gram of cauda (of the right side) was then calculated.
