(3) Reliability
Reliability is a measure to see whether the evaluation results of trainees who are at the same ability level are always the same.
Suppose there are two trainees who have the same ability. Measured with a highly reliable evaluation method, they are expected to have the same result. In actuality, the results may differ slightly due to the influence of the environment/conditions. However, the difference must be very small. If the difference is big, evaluation is more influenced by the environment/conditions than by the trainees’ ability and their ability is not evaluated correctly.
For this reason, it is necessary to devise ways to avoid the influence of the environment/conditions when developing an evaluation method.
