Todd Chase was elected to the City Commission in April 2011 and began his first term as District Two Commissioner in May 2011. He is Chair of the Regional Utilities Committee and is also a member of the Community Development Committee, Public Safety Committee, Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency, Gainesville/Alachua County Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization, Tourist Development Council, and the Transportation Disadvantaged Board .
Commissioner Chase is the Chief Operating Officer of Digi-Net Technologies and currently serves on the Board of Advisors of UF’s Center for Entrepreneurship, where he enjoys mentoring some of Gainesville’s brightest young entrepreneurs. He has extensive experience in technology commercialization, financing, and operations. Todd began his career as a pilot in the US Navy compiling more than 3,000 hours flying the P-3 Orion and is currently a Commander in the Naval Reserve.
Commissioner Chase holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Mathematics from Jacksonville University. He and his wife, Mary, have three children and have lived in NW Gainesville for 10 years.
