To test the effect of different nitrogen sources on PHB production,
the MSM medium containing 10 g/L glucose and 5 g/L xylose
was supplemented with one of the following nitrogen sources,
(NH4)2SO4, NH4Cl, peptone (Laboratories CONDA S.A), yeast extract
(Laboratories CONDA S.A) and Bacto™ tryptone (BD), each
at 6 g/L.
