Abstract
The research of a conceptual framework for social network to support collaborative learning (SSCL) for enhancing knowledge construction of Grade 3 students was designed for stimulating the cognitive structure via the problem situation and learning tasks. Social network was designed based on social constructivist theory as a tools for enhancing knowledge construction of the students. There were interaction between learners, teachers and more experienced experts in the process. In case of the learner was unable to construct the knowledge, social network would be used as a scaffolding. In addition, social network was able to use for stimulating the cognitive and metacognition requirements. Social network was also the main function in supporting the knowledge construction accomplishment of the students. The knowledge construction analysis is focused on the role of students, teachers and experts which related with social network using for supporting knowledge construction. At last, the research discussed implications about the effect of instructional design by presenting the specific suggestion and further research.
