but still needs lots of verbal directions and positive reinforcement to keep him on task. Sometimes it’s hard for both parents to attend Anthony’s school functions and events and he feels really left out. We are hoping to be able to spend more time with him as his parents and not have to divide all the time to care for our 3 younger children. Anthony has a pet guinea pig named “Gretta”. He does a good job caring for her and she keeps him company in his room. Anthony is a very picky eater. We are really hoping that he is going to “grow out of it” over time. He has a few constant foods he will eat and he never deviates from that selection. We are continually working with Anthony to stay focused and not "zone out" when we need him to get his responsibilities accomplished. It’s a challenge for Anthony to concentrate in a hectic or loud environment-he’s most often distracted by the television or playing with his legos when it’s time to get ready for school. This is one of the areas that we feel a live-in AuPair will be able to make an immediate positive impact. When Anthony is getting ready for school, we will be able to attend to him while our Aupair works with the other children. Transitioning for all children can sometimes be a challenge so extra family support can really make a difference
