In conclusion.
Let's play arround with the thought that “what mice the professional gamers are using” is a market.
Zowie have the vast majority with 40% of the players using their mice. That is a large number for any company to have in a single market. Some years ago I did not even know that Zowie existed and now they have a huge part of the market.
So, how has Zowie managed to make it into the market and totally dominate it in just a couple of years? They are even more popular than the giants Steelseries, Razer and Logitech.
Can it be that they have the ultimate superior mice, or are the guys behind Zowie just really good at marketing?
From what I have heard and read about Zowie they take a lot of input and work directly with professional players when developing their mice. First it was the swedish superstars SpawN and HeatoN, and now it is the polish star Neo. Mice that are made by professionals, that must be a good selling point.
We can see that more and more companies are taking advantage of the marketing value and knowledge that the professional players can bring to the table. A fairly new developer, the guys behind the “FinalMouse”, are doing this. They are using the french superstar ScreaM as their frontman in the release of their newest edition, the FinalMouse 2016. And as it looks like they are also moving up in the market.
Zowie additionally seem to send out a lot of samples to professionals for them to try them out. And if they like the mouse, they are going to play with it, show it off and talk about it to all other professional players. And all the players that end up using them are going to show them off to their fans. As a result, for a couple of mice sent out they have a large crowd that are talking about and buying the mice.
Maby this is just a small portion of what the reason is, maybe it's a large. Zowie seem to have entered the market to stay.
