1. Introduction
Goats are considered an important source of good quality meat
for many populations around the world as their meat is rich in protein and low in fat compared with other animals (Webb et al., 2005).
In addition, goats are valued for their excellent skins (Xu et al.,
2013), their ability to survive in many climates, and their ability to
convert a wide variety of plants into nutritious milk (Hart, 2001).
