New England University (NEU) is a private university located in the greater Boston area.
It was found in the late 1940s to provide affordable private education to students in New England and its environs.
It was seen as a respectable alternative to Harvard, MIT, Wellessley, and other more elitist and expensive private universities in the area.
Undergraduate program enrolled about 1,800 students and over 1,000 students in its continuing education and graduate programs
