Time for a Midyear Check-In
Distribution: Employees in the Global Client Organization
As we hit the midpoint of our fiscal year, now is a good time for each of us to take stock of how we’re doing on the goals we set for ourselves for 2015.
As part of fulfilling “My Everywhere” at Visa, be sure to make time to identify the developmental opportunities and resources available to continually grow your contributions and career — and to recognize the impact you have on Visa’s success and on the lives of people around the world.
At this, the midpoint of our fiscal year, I encourage you to set aside some extra time in the next few weeks to talk with your manager about how you’re doing to support the company’s strategic objectives and achieve your individual goals. This is a good time to:
• Celebrate the progress you’ve made toward achieving your performance and development goals for 2015.
• Discuss whether any goals should be updated based on circumstances that have changed in the past six months. If you need to update a goal, you can do that at any time in Workday.
• Agree on next steps for you and your manager to make sure you stay on track.
Your development and success in your role — and ultimately, fulfilling “My Everywhere” — requires an ongoing partnership between you and your manager. While a midyear check-in is a good start, it should not be the only time you discuss your progress. Be sure to keep the dialogue going throughout the year.
