Barrier property is one of the most important factors for food
packaging which protect or reduce food contamination from the
external contaminants [27]. As exhibited in Table 2, Neat PBS
showed the OTR value of 63.19 g mil/(m2 day atm). Of the thymol
concentration studied, the OTR tended to increase slightly and
obtain the maximum value at 10 wt% thymol.
