of the runoff is lost before it reaches the bioretention system. These parameters
resulted in stormwater application of 0.58 L (about 5 pore volumes)
for a 6-month 24-h storm for each of our columns. To account for
highest rainfall intensities during these storms, we applied the storm
over a four-hour time period with the application rate of 2.42 mL/min.
