was classified as passing or failing donor Hb according to standard cut-off value that is 12.5 g/dl.
For the Hb colour scale the donor Hb>12.0 g/dl was considered as cut off value.
The Hb result obtained from Coulter (Beckman Coulter Act) using venous sample was considered the reference value. Relative to these values, the result of the other methods was desingnated as true or false result and the sensitivity, specificity, Positive predictive value (PPV), Negative predictive value (NPV) of each method was calculated.
The Hb value obtained by the Hemocue and Cyanmeth Hb method were compared with those obtained from the Coulter counter using the concordance correlation coeafficient and students ‘t’ test.
