My name is Eloise and I am the proud momma to Landon. Landon was born September 6, 2012 with Treacher Collins Syndrome, resulting in bilateral Microtia Atresia. You can read her birth story and so much more on our blog http://thesoutharddiaries.tumblr.com
About her bahas: She received her first baha (a BP110) when she was 6 weeks old after we were told she had severe mixed hearing loss. She then received her second Baha BP 100 when she was almost 6 months old. Around this time I noticed that she responded to much more than we were told she would and I began to get her tested at the audiologist's more frequently. A mother's intuition is always right... and we learned that her hearing loss is actually soft to mild and we swapped the 110 to the Baha 4 BP100. When her bahas are on, Landon has normal hearing. Hallelujah.
Our journey has not only taught me a lot about myself but also how much my daughter will teach me during her life. We were blessed to have access to an incredible speech school in New York before our move south and learned from very progressive people in the speech and hearing community. Our hearing health education from her birth gave us the confidence we needed to face everything we had to and I want to now pay that forward.
