The pharmaceutical industry often generates wastewater that is hazardous and toxic, and also often has intensive color and disgusting odor. The presence of pharmaceuticals in the effluent of sewage treatment plants (STPs), present a challenge for biological treatment technologies, because of the toxicity of antibiotics for microbes and also the death of micro-organisms which are effective in wastewater [1] and [2]. Hence, biological treatment of wastewater is insufficient in the case of antibiotics; therefore they can eventually reach drinking water, surface and groundwater waters and soil and lead to the development of resistance of microbial pathogens to antibiotics
