Comparison of bacterial cellulose production in static, agitated and stirred culture
The potentially useful isolate was incubated at room temperature (25 ◦C) statically, or in a rotary shaker with a speed of 180 rpm, and also with a magnetic stirrer for the static, agitated, and stirred culture, respectively, for 6 day-incubation period in the SH medium.
The cellulose produced under agitated and stirred conditions were harvested by centrifugation at 10,000 rpm for 10 min, and that produced under static condition following the procedure described in Section 2.5 to determine the yields.
The experiments were done in triplicate.
