Second, use an appropriate form of technology. Consider the students for whom the lesson is designed. For example, six- and seven-year-olds may need more direction and simpler technology. The materials you have to work with should influence the technology incorporated into the lesson. Simplicity, from either the teacher’s and the learners’ perspective, is also a consideration in appropriate forms of technology. Some uses of technology require considerable preparation by the teacher (for example, designing Web-based inquiry-oriented activities such as WebQuests), but they can make use of technology easier for the students because of the support they provide to guide learning.
