Nanocrystalline copper oxides(CuO)were immobilized onto the woven and non-woven fabrics at room temperature by reactive DC magnetron sputtering.
XRD pattern revealed the immobilization of CuO onto the fabrics.
The antimicrobial test for the resultant CuO-fabric composites was performed against both
Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacterium using Agar diffusion platetest.
The killing efficiency of bacteria and conformations of bacterial cell damage was noticed.
