Monsoon in Khao Sok
We have had many inquiries recently about the monsoon season in Southern Thailand. Fact is, that there is a higher probability of rain, which the statistically wettest months being September and October, but is exactly what makes the Rainforest even more authentic. Also, there are fair chances that the sun breaks through more often than you would think, and the rising mist unveiling stunning limestone cliffs is a sight to die for. Temperatures remain warm and Khao Sok is usually not affected by floods or similar, the National Park remains open and all our recommended tours are run all year round.

Khao Sok’s best tours available around the year!
All our recommended tours are run normally around the year. Khao Sok National Park HQ is open all around the year with some exceptions to longer treks. During monsoon season the following treks and areas are closed: "The Rafflesia Trek" from 1st of May to 31st of October. Sip Et Chan Waterfall , Bang Lab Nam Waterfall , Tang Nam, Ton Kloi Waterfall , Tharn Sawan Waterfall, Nam Ta-lu Cave, Si Ru Cave and Khang Cow Cave from 1st of June to 14th of December. National Park authorities have decided to close these treks annually for safety reasons. Shorter 2-3 hour safe treks from national park HQ are available around the year.
