3.2. Performance traits
The results of the performance characteristics of rabbits fed the experimental diets are presented in Table 3.All rabblts commenced with a nearly similar initial live body weight (749+-42g on average).rabbits fed control diet recorded significantly(p=0.026) the highest final body weight along with both cooked and alkaline treated MSM; however, the autoclaved MSM had the lowest final body weight by a decrement of 4.85% than control group the highest BWG values were recorded by the control and cooked MSM group while the autoclaved and alkaline treated MSM groups had the lowest BWG (P=0.016).
There were no significant differences (p=0.51) among the four experimental group regarding FI.values of FCR were the best for the control and cooked MSM groups (3.44 and 3.45) flowed by the alkaline treated MSM (3.55) in the same significance level, whereas the worst FCR value (3.70) was for the autoclaved MSM group.
