Suvarnabhumi Airport Passenger Control Customs has been established. The interesting story started in 1959 when the office known as Bangkok International Airport Customs House was initially formed in Don Muang. 36 years later, it became Bangkok International Airport Customs Bureau according to the Royal Decree in 1995 regarding the Customs Department.
Suvarnabhumi Airport Passenger Control Customs are in charge of performing Customs Formalities, collecting duties and other incomes, giving duty refunds, controlling cargo, as well as clearing imported, transit and transshipment cargo in Suvarnabhumi Airport. It also supervises bonded warehouses and Free Zone within area.
