All neon isotopes measurements were performed under the recommended parameter settings with an electron voltage of 70 V, a trap current of 200 μA and an acceleration voltage of 4.5 kV. Two room temperature SAES G50 getters were mounted near the ion source and detector sections, respectively, to absorb hydrogen. Another liquid nitrogen cooled charcoal trap installed near the ion source was used to maintain the low level of interfering ions, especially the CO2 and Ar ions, in the ionization and analyzation sections.
