Commandments and instructions are mainly to maintain justice in every walk of life, and socio-economic justice is one of them. ln the verse Allah, SWT, makes it legally and morally binding on the Muslim state to enjoin the right, in Arabic “ Maruf ” and to forbid wrong and resist evil, in Arabic “Munker” . for Muslim state, to put Maruf into action in the economic system means to ensure that all economic activities in the country adhere to the lslamic business ethics. That is to say that the vision of every economic activity is directed toward establishing socio-economic justice in the country. By contrast, for a Muslim state to resist Munker means to assume responsibility for the ceasing of all economic activities that lead to socio-economic injustice. Hence, Allah, SWT, commands the state to legislate hecessary laws to accomplish socio-economic justice Maruf to generate socio-economic prosperity, alleviate poverty and reduce socio-economic fears and tensions and also to stop all sorts of Munker Unlawful and uniust socio-economic activities such as unethical profiteering (An individual who seeks exorbitant profits, often to the detriment of others), hoarding, cartel ( A group of companies or countries which collectively attempt to affect market prices by controlling production and marketing), monopoly. The Prophet, PBUH, said: “Any ruler who is responsible for the affairs of Muslim but does not strive sincerely for their well-being will not enter, paradise with them” (Muslim, vol 1, p. 126).
