Anthocyanins and UV-B Absorbing Compounds
Anthocyanins and UV-B absorbing compounds content were determined
according to the method described by Nogués and Baker [16].
The 0.5 g fresh sample was extracted with 5 mL of acidified methanol
(methanol:HCl = 99:1, v:v) in the dark for 3 days. The contents of anthocyanins
and UV-B absorbing compounds were estimated by recording
absorbances at 530 and 280 nm, respectively. The results were
