3.3. Serum biochemical parametersThe serum biochemical analyses revealed that serum cholesterol linearly decreased (P<0.001) with increasing peppermint leaves levels in the diets (Table 5). However, serum total protein of laying hens was increased (P=0.015) with increasing levels of peppermint leaves. On the other hand, there were no significant effects of peppermint leaves on serum calcium, phosphorus and glucose (Table 5).
