The phytochemicals in ten Thai medicinal plant extracts were determined, and the
antioxidant activity of these extracted was also investigated. The results of DPPH and FRAP
assay revealed that extracts of P. ribesoides and D. parviflora exhibited the most potent
antioxidant activity. The results of total phenolic and flavonoid contents were involved with
the high potency of anti-oxidation of the plant extracts. The extracts showing high content of
anti-oxidative compounds might be potential for use as the dietary supplements and could be
used as the ingredients in cosmetic products.
