Radiologic changes typical of RA on posteroanterior hand and wrist X-rays, which must include erosion or unequivocal bony decalcification localized to or most marked adjacent to the involved joints (osteoarthritis changes alone do not qualify)[2,3,4]
Criteria 1–4 must be present for at least 6 weeks, and the provider must observe criteria 2–5.[3] The presence of 4 criteria supports the diagnosis of RA.[3,4] The criteria do not confirm or exclude diagnosis but are intended to serve as a guideline.[3,4]
