The principle objective of this study is to determine influential factors affecting toward ocean freight service provider selection of Japanese automotive companies. The ocean freight service provider companies have such limited capabilities, resources and the companies are unable to exploit all the chance of the shipping market with equal effectiveness. According to that fact, this study was explored in order to acquire truly understanding influential factors affecting on the service provider selection.
Researcher conducted research rely on top five Japanese automotive companies in Thailand, the questionnaires was sent to 10 respondents per company. Total 50 completed questionnaires and 50 completed questionnaires are received, equivalence to 100 per cent of responding ratio. The influential attributes of the study were carefully extracted from twenty-eight previous researches and literatures, the study was conducted in accordance with assumption that the decision of selection ocean freight service provider refers as dependent variable and the five influential factors refer as independent variable. The result is observed that after-sale service is the most influential factor affecting the service provider selection. These findings have paramount connotation for the ocean freight service provider in order to invent sustainable strategy.
