In order to transition into the 600 hour Scheduled Inspections program you must use Table 601 for the A and B Scheduled Inspections. You will also have to formulate the Special Inspections, Engine Inspections, and Overhaul and Replacement Schedule requirements using the information provided in Table 602. To calculate the new time for the aircraft, the date and aircraft time at the last 200 hour inspection as well as any calendar items is needed.
Every airplane will enter into the 600 hour Scheduled Inspection Program and the next inspection will be determined by current airframe time. If an airplane's last inspection fell on one of the 600 hour times, then the airplane would be considered in the program after the Special Inspections, Engine Inspections, and Overhaul and Replacement Schedule are calculated. To determine which inspection will be the initial inspection of the program, use the current aircraft time to establish which color on Table 601 the aircraft is in. The first 600 hour inspection would then be at the end of that color.
To find the engine and airframe 200 special inspections use the following formula:
Next current 600 hour inspection time due - last inspection Time = Time until next inspection
If time is less than 200 hours then wait until the 600 hour inspection.
If time is more than 200 hours then use the following formula to determine next engine inspection
Time until next inspection/ 2 + last inspection time = next Engine Inspection
