Recently, biologically active compounds and extracts isolated from several plant species used in the traditional herbal medicine of Jordan (like Trigonella foenum graecum and Salvia triloba) have been evaluated for their cytotoxicity using the brine shrimp lethality test (BST) and anti-tumor activity using 3 types of human tumor cancer cell lines (A-549 male lung carcinoma, MCF-7 female breast cancer and T-29 colon – adenocarcarcinoma) [1].
