Principle of Translation I: Assignment Elephants The elephant is the largest living land animal. The African elephant may reach up to 3.5 meters tall and weigh as much as 5,000 kilograms. The Asian one is smaller but gentler and more easily trained to work. The elephant's most useful limb is its trunk, which is very strong and can lift a heavy log. It breathes through the trunk and uses it to suck up water when it wants shower. The trunk is also used to bring food to the mouth. The bulls have hug tusks which can grow up to 3 meters long. They use the tusks for digging u roots to eat. The cows have tusks too, but they are much smaller.
