In Tambakrejo village, 59 species of plants were documented as traditional aliment belonging to 33 families (Figure 2) and wide spread in all home gardens. This indicates the diversity of traditional aliment in tambakrejo village. The highest species were Araceae, Mucaceae and Moraceae,each of which had 4 members, followed by Zingiberaceae with 3 members. Araceae included colocasia giganteum, all members of C.nucifera, and Arenga pinnata. Mucaceae included all members of M. paradisiaca. Moraceae included Artocarpus, genus ( A. camansi, A. beterophyllus, A. elasticus, and and A. altilis). Members of Zingiberaceae mostly were used as cooking spices, such C.lonnga, K. rotunda, A. galanga
