Dear Gary
Do you remember me? I used to be your neighbor when we were kids growing up in Scotland. We used to play soccer in the park together , although I still called it football back then. Well guess what? I live in Californian now , and I’m an American citizen. Yesterday found some old photographs of us and your address was on the back of one of them! I remember we promised to write to each other… So here is the first letter after 15 years! I often think of you and of the good times we used to have as chilaren. I remember I was really sad when we first moved to the States. But after living here for a while , we started to like it and we decided to become citizens. I went to high school in Miami and then after that I moved to the west Coast to study Political Science at USC. I graduated a month ago and want to take a year off befor I start grad school.
Anyway , how are things with you? I’d love to go and see you again on my year off.
What do you think? Write back soon and tell me all your news. I’m looking forward to hearing from you, if you ever get this letter!
Take care! Regards,
Vincent
