3.2.1. Chicken meat
A total of 356 retail chicken meat samples were collected and
tested for the presence ofSalmonella. A total of 199 chicken samples
with the skin off were collected, and 157 were chicken samples with
skin on. Most samples, 88.5%, (314/356) were collected from supermarkets and 8.7% (31/356) were from a butcher or poultry shop
