Once the factors that affect the MSPD procedure had been
optimized, the validation of the method was performed in accordance with SANCO Guidelines [24] for method validation and
quality control procedures for pesticide residue analysis in food
and feed. The following performance characteristics were studied:
linearity, recovery, precision, limits of detection and quantification
and matrix effect. The validation process was carried out in crab
hepatopancreas and fish liver. For the latter, 0.2 g sample was
employed due to the fact that less tissue was available.
