(1) Improve sidewalk network and physical condition. (2) Relocate hawkers out of the sidewalk and find other places for them to trade. (3) Provide bicycle paths and parking spaces, and promote their usage. (4) Provide networks of public transportation to connect residential areas and mass transit stations. (5) Provide sufficient car parks in mass transit stations in the outskirts. (6) Build more and better walking networks in business and retail commercial areas. (7) Provide incentives to business to connect its establishments to the public walking networks. The design of new development must respond and facilitate pedestrians at ground, above-ground or overhead level. (8) Reduce or eliminate the number of parking spaces required by the building code in the inner city for new developments.
