at breast height, plant height, and survival rate of bamboo
willows, a non-halophyte, planted in the experimental site
were measured to evaluate the effect of different rates of
FGD-gypsum treatment on planted vegetation. Compared
with the control, the survival rate of Bamboo-willow was
improved with the ESP reduced 18 months after application of
FGD-gypsum
Plant height and diameter at breast height in the
FGD-gypsum treatments with the rate less than 45 Mg·ha−1
weren't increased compared with the control, however, plant
height and diameter at breast height were increased in 60 Mg/
ha FGD-gypsum treatment (Fig. 4a). The improved growth was
attributed to reduced soil ESP and water-soluble Na+, Cl− and
CO3
2− + HCO3 − , elevated available soil Ca and S contents, as well
as overall improvements in soil physical properties
