Laboratory fatigue studies of nanostructured and conventional cpTi
were performed according to ASTM E 466-96 at R (σmin/σmax) = 0.1
and 20 Hz. Fig. 4 shows that the fatigue strength of nanostructured Ti
at 106 cycles is almost 80% higher than conventionally processed cpTi
and approaches that of the Ti-6Al-4 V alloy [27].
