60 subjects participated in the experiment and each of them had 20 search trials thus in total there were 1200 trials. Table 1 presents the means and standard deviations of search time in different conditions. Mean search time for the group of high velocity and low time pressure was the longest and that of low velocity and high time pressure groups the shortest. High time pressure groups’ search time was shorter than that of low time pressure groups. The high velocity group’s search time was almost twice the length of the low velocity group under the same time pressure level. Standard deviation was also affected by velocity and time pressure. For the high time pressure groups, standard deviations were relatively smaller while for the high velocity groups, standard deviations were much larger compared with that of the low velocity groups.
