I’m happy you’d like to come on the ride, but am a little confused with your last comment about 7 to 10 days affecting your family.

If you can’t be away from your family or need to earn money during that time, I completely understand and you should not go on the ride.

However, if you can work it out where you can work extra before and after the ride to make up the money you would lose being on the ride, and you’re family are happy for you to go, then you should go on the ride. It will be an amazing experience for you to enjoy.

As I said, I’m happy to pay all your expenses, which will cost me between 25,000 & 30,000 THB.

I just can’t pay you additional money as income to be on the ride. It would be too much just to film the video and the MDMC wouldn’t like it. They and I see it as you are privileged to be accepted and invited on the ride.

They would understand me paying your expenses for hotel, food and fuel if you have to use your truck to go to Pattaya and drive home after when I stay longer for the after parties and being with the MDMC brothers.

If the above is ok with you and I can get the vice president to allow you to come, then please don’t worry about filming from a bike. They drive too fast for this and we don’t have the specialised equipment to do that. We can use GoPros on their Harleys for the inside ride action.

You would be only filming and photographing from the back seats of the car out of the windows for the action shots using both the 5D MK III and the FS7.

There are also shots we’ll get at service stations and from the side of the road. I’m still undecided about using the Pro Aerial company, and I’ll talk to you more about that tomorrow if you’re free to come round in the afternoon.

Maybe we could find another company.

Equally, I’m very happy to put a business together with you, and we’ll talk a lot more about that tomorrow. I haven’t had the chance to sort through the pictures yet, so we won’t be doing any editing - only discussing the proposed treatment times and some reviews regarding the treatment.

I’m sure we’ll work well together now and in the future. It really works when 2 people respect each other and we can learn more to understand each other as time goes by. We will especially learn from each of our specialised skill sets.

It’s (the ride) a great feeling to enjoy and a real creative challenge to film because most of the filming and photography is done at high speed.

If you decide you’d like me to ask the club for you to come these are the ride dates, which could change a little either way:

D1 (26Nov): Pattaya to Nakhon Sawan; 439K; 6:15H
D2 (27Nov): Nakhon Sawan to Chiang Mai; 477K; 7:15H
D3 (28Nov): Chiang Mai to Doi Mae Salong; 246K; 4:15H
D4 (29Nov): Doi Mae Salong to Tak; 471K; 6:30H
D5 (30Nov): Tak to Kanchanaburi; 431K; 5:50H

You you need to be in Pattaya with me at least the day before because the ride meeting is normally at 6:30am the first morning, and I will want to be filming that. There is normally an after-ride party for 1 to 3 days, but it would be up to you if you wanted to be part of that or if you had to get back to work.

Having given this a lot of thought, if you want to be part of the ride I would be happy to pay only your ride expenses, which would cost me something like 30,000 THB.

Everyone pays their own costs here, but I would be paying your ride costs, which would include your own hotel rooms and food and drink. Also, your fuel costs if you didn’t drive down with me.

The MC is a brotherhood where everyone pays their own way. However, I wouldn’t expect you to have pay for your costs, but I don’t feel it is right to pay you to be on the ride, and I know my MDMC brothers would feel the same way.

You would be there because it is a privilege to be there. I hope you can understand that. It would be an experience you would never forget and, if the guys like you, you will probably get invited on other rides and MDMC events.
