The determination of wet cell weight (WCW), the dry
cell weight (DCW), and OD, from 8-mL aliquots of
fermentation broth, was collected at every 30 minutes
during fermentation (before and after induction stage),
process separately 2–2 mL in each four preweighed 2.5-mL
centrifuge tubes, and three tubes were spun at 10,000g for
5 minutes. Supernatant was completely removed, and the
cell pellet along with the tubes was weighed to determine
WCW. Followed the WCW, same tubes with cells pellets
were dried overnight in an oven at 100C for the determination
of DCW.
